What is Simple Fps Monitor?

It's a simple tool that shows an approximate frames per second rate based on the game program run rate.

It gives you a simple single value overall performance overview.

The higher the rate the better the performance.

What it does not do:

It's not a high precision tool and it's not intended to be one.

If you need more precise measurements, higher detail level, advanced data analysis and presentation there are renowned third-party tools available elsewhere.

Why would one use it instead of more advanced tools?

for it's simple, easy to add and easy to use.

And unlike the other tools it works inside the game program loop that generates the video frames. So, it "knows it" from the inside.
